Loofah Cleaning Pad

This is a layered loofah pad stitched together for extra scrubbing power. They are completely natural so you can clean surfaces, chopping boards, baths, sinks, tiles and taps safe in the knowledge that your elbow grease won't release plastic fibres!!

The LoofCo loofah cleaning pads are hand-made in Egypt from natural loofah plants with a helpful Egyptian cotton string loop for hanging. Loofah Plant is a vigorously growing vine from the cucumber family that is rich in durable fibres yet soft and flexible. When ripe, the inside of the loofah fruit develops a network of fibres that are perfect for cleaning and exfoliating purposes when dried. This natural tradition has been passed down through the generations!

• May appear abrasive when dry but when immersed in water, the centre of the loofah pad swells to become a spongy non-scratch flexible pad

• Use with water and cleaning products 

• An occasional hand-wash or machine wash will also help to prolong the life. With care these loofah cleaning pads will last for months and are fully compostable at the end of the life.

LoofCo products are inspired by cleaning methods that have been tried and tested over generations. Using this knowledge, they are skilfully created in Sri Lanka and Egypt.

All elements of LoofCo products are 100% compostable and biodegradable, except the metal core of the brushes which is recyclable. The cardboard packaging is recyclable and the sticker is made from cellulose and is biodegradable.

LoofCo take care to ensure that local farmers and production workers have an inclusive workplace, are treated fairly with wages and benefits, such as medical insurance, higher than normal rates. No children are employed.
